Please take 10 minutes out of your day to read this important message from Shaenna Loughnane, CEO of Bridge2Aid.

Chris Barrow and Extreme Business have been long-time supporters, and friends, of Bridge2Aid.

They were founding members of our original Unity Partnership Scheme in 2011 – supporting the training of remote and rural clinical officers.

As our focus has now changed to training and mentoring local dental therapists (by invitation from the TDA and MoH), our Unity Partnership Scheme has also changed to reflect that.

Extreme Business has once again become a vital partner for Bridge2aid and has invested £9,000 to fund the training of the nine dental therapists attending the February programme.

So, what exactly does this money pay for? It directly funds:

  • The travel and accommodation costs for the nine participating therapists to ensure they can afford to be with us for the full 2 weeks.

  • Essential training materials, including instruments and models used during practical sessions

  • Post-training mentorship and support, ensuring that learning continues beyond the two-week course

But this is about so much more than money.

Chris Barrow's support represents a belief in a better future for Tanzanian oral health. It's about standing with these dental therapists and saying, "We see you. We value you. And we're investing in your ability to change lives."

The impact of this investment is far-reaching. These trained therapists will care for thousands of patients yearly, reducing pain and suffering, and restoring dignity in some of Tanzania's most underserved communities.

Each patient they treat, and each tooth they save, is a testament to the ripple effect of this investment.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Chris for his belief in our mission and his unwavering commitment to empowering dental professionals in Tanzania.
