The photograph you are looking at is the 1944 desk diary used by ElizabethNorman to record her daily “to do” lists. Elizabeth worked in the “Future Operations Planning” department of Churchill’s War Rooms from 1942 to 1944.
The entry we are looking at is from “D-Day” – 6th June 1944 – the Allies were invading the Normandy beaches and Elizabeth had loads to do.
It fascinated me – and that’s what I love to write about.
