I genuinely wish that I had read and understood this book when I was 21 years old, instead of finding it much later in my life.

To recognise the difference between being in and out of the rat race is a key message that everyone who aspires to a level of financial independence should understand.

You will not learn here about book-keeping, how money flows through a business or how to set prices – but you will understand what money does, what it doesn’t do – and how to make it your friend for life and not an enemy.

The only part that Kiyosaki misses is that if you love what you do, you will never work another day in your life.

I’m not a wealthy man but my route out of the rat race was to love my job – not to make my job unnecessary.
