Wake up! The numbers don’t lie—and they don’t add up

Writer: Chris BarrowChris Barrow

The thing I love about numbers is that they don't do Drama.

The numbers are the numbers - and, at the moment, they don't add up.

As I mentioned last week at the BDIA Showcase, 2.5 years ago, with an average Operating Cost PerSurgery Per Day of £450, a 50% associate would need to gross around £1,250 per day to simply break even. That's break even.

Today, with OCPSPD at £750+, that same associate would need to gross £2,250 to break even. That's £2,250.

This the most serious development I've seen in dentistry since the pandemic, and yet it's not getting enough press.

Tomorrow night I'll be presenting a Practice Plan webinar on the subject.

On Thursday I'll be delivering a Practice Plan regional workshop on this subject.

And on 24th March, I'll be joining other Key Opinion Leaders, Sandeep Kumar, Chris Ball and Mark Simic for an FMC webinar (sponsored by Align Technology) to cover it again. This webinar is open to all, it's free and it's a warning that you must not miss:

I feel like the guy in Jaws, shouting at everybody about the approaching killer shark, while they all splash about in the water, having a good time.

Wake up!

THE NUMBERS DON'T ADD UP.
