Driving to Northwich on Saturday morning we had that "what would you do if you won the lottery?" conversation.
£200+ million on Friday night's Euromillions for one winner in Austria - imagine that knock on the door.
Whenever we ask ourselves that question, I always arrive at the same place.
Would I do things differently - or would I do a different thing?
Doing things differently would mean continuing to work in dentistry but helping more people (both in the profession and patients at home and overseas).
Doing a different thing would mean getting the hell out of dentistry and exploring a new life.
There is no doubt in my mind that I would choose the former - stay connected to dentistry but do different things.
Dentistry has provided me with a great experience, lifelong friends, the best man at my wedding - and my wife!
Buy a corporate? Support a charity? Set up a fund to back dental entrepreneurs? Pay for education?
Who knows - the chances of finding out are remote.
But I consider myself very lucky to be able to say that I wouldn't need to get out - I like it here.
