One thing is for sure - qualitative goals don't work.
I'd like to be:
Happier;
Less tired;
More in control;
Thinner;
Fitter;
Richer;
Loved.
There is seldom a week that I don't quote business author Harry Beckwith:
"There is no performance without accountability and no accountability without measurement."
The only goals that work are quantitative:
I'd like to:
Make a list of my top 10 tolerations and remove them over the next 90 days;
Increase my sleep to a minimum of 8 hours per night on a 7-day rolling average;
Determine my 3 unique abilities and delegate everything else to my support team;
Lose 14 lbs in weight by 31st June 2025;
Join "Couch to 5km" and aim to run my first 5 km in three months;
Start a monthly savings plan with a view to having three months living expenses in the bank by the end of the year.
Ah - "loved" - the exception to the rule.
Be loveable.
